The Village of Montpelier requires ALL residents of the Village to file an annual Village Income Tax Return whether or not there is tax due. Our income tax is billed and collected through the Central Collection Agency (CCA) in Cleveland, Ohio. The Village Income Tax rate is 1.8%. We allow a full credit, up to 1.8%, of taxes paid to other Ohio Municipalities. However, we do not give credit for Indiana County Tax.

Due to electronic filing becoming the preferred method used by taxpayers in filing their income tax returns and the fact that almost 70% of individuals are qualified to efile, CCA will be mailing postcards to our taxpayers with instructions on how to file. The link to file your taxes online is https://www.ccaohio.gov/cca-efile. You can also verify your estimated payments and available credits via the website. CCA has a fully automated 24/7 phone application for payment and credit verification.

Additionally, the Village Income Tax Administrator is available to answer any questions you may have throughout the year and can assist you in filling out your local return. Just bring your Tax Return and all your W-2’s, and all related schedules to the Municipal Offices, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
